G Diapers

G Diapers are an interesting alternative to cloth and disposable diapers. They are easier to use than cloth diapers but more work than disposables. The diapering system comes in three parts; the cover is like a cloth diaper, the Velcro fastens in the back. Inside the cover is a plastic liner that snaps in and out to wash, and inside the liner is a removable flushable insert.

The covers are super cute and both the cover and the liner can be washed and dried in a machine. The liners air dry fast if machine drying isn't an option. Clean up is very easy with just a flush of the insert down the toilet. The waste ends up in the sewer instead of sitting in a landfill. There is also the added bonus of no stinky diaper pail!

Initially the diapers may seem awkward, so it's best to have a system to help you put them on. Putting an extra liner with the pad when you change your little one will help make changing faster and easier. The diapers can leak over night so I would suggest two liners to be safe. It's important to use the swish stick while flushing the insert and don't flush more than one or it will clog your toilet. The diapers are more expensive, but in my opinion worth it for my peace of mind.
