Green Toys
Green Toys is a new toy line out of California that is made of recycled milk containers. The toys are 100% made in the USA. They maintain that "Every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California." The milk containers are made from high-density polyethylene (or HDPE) and are Phthalate and BPA free. You can recognize it by the number 2 inside the recycling sign. They have no paint so there is no fear of lead.
Packaging can be very wasteful. Green toys packaging is recyclable and they use no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties.
The toys are cute and durable and we love that they are made from recycled material! Although they are still made from petroleum, they're made from one of the safer plastics available.
